Being International
The world is international. We travel and work with people all over the globe. The ease of travel and the technology of communication have made our lives increasingly international. We do business with international partners. We possibly move and live in another country – maybe for short periods, maybe on a permanent basis as an immigrant.
Living an international life has many rewards. But, there are also difficulties, challenges to be overcome — and risks of failure. Therefore, there is the need for skill and understanding to succeed in “being international”.
My international life – traveling and doing business in many countries as well as living in two counties – has given me the opportunity to both study and experience “being international”. This has given me insight into the subject that I include in my teaching and lecturing. More recently, I have had the opportunity to be published on the topic.
In my series on the subject of Being International, I offer my insights into the subject with the hope that you will find them to be both interesting and useful.
And certainly, I always welcome feedback on the subject.
